The countdown is on, there’s about 54 days until Summer. If crop-tops, flip flops and short shorts aren’t enough of a reason to get you thinking about fitness than I don’t know what is.
Like many of us I struggle with a bit of a “beer belly” that I would like gone. My trainer Sheena who has a washboard six-pack continues to tell me that ‘abs are made in the kitchen’. And that no amount of crunches, sit-ups or miles on the treadmill are going to change that. In fact, if you do exercise your core muscles without changing your diet you will actually form abs under layers of fact – we don’t want that how do we?
What am I going to do in the attempt at a flat stomach?
- Remove all simple carbohydrates (esp. white flour)
- Remove all sugars
- Avoid, like always, pop – those tiny little carbon bubbles make you bloated
